Position: Deputy Director General for Sustainable Forest Management, Directorate General of State Forests

Jerzy Fijas is a respected leader in Polish forestry and local government administration, with extensive professional experience. Born on October 15, 1959, in Gdańsk, he served as the Mayor of Brusy (1998-2006), where he contributed to the development of infrastructure and improved the quality of life for residents. After his term, he held managerial positions at the Regional Directorate of State Forests and the Marshal's Office in Gdańsk. He was appointed Deputy Director General of the State Forests, responsible for sustainable forest management. His teamwork skills and dedication to innovative projects, such as the development of renewable energy sources, have earned him recognition within the forestry community. Jerzy Fijas is a man of action with a clear vision for development. He is an expert in forest management, and his years of work in local government and the State Forests have garnered him respect both among his colleagues and local communities.
