Circular economy without the slogans. Can recycling in Poland actually pay off?
30 September 2026 • 11:30

Thematic scope
A circular economy is designed to reduce resource consumption, costs, and the economy's dependence on imports. In practice, however, the Polish market continues to face volatile demand for recyclates, limited processing capacities for certain types of waste, and competition from primary raw materials. What needs to change for recycling to become a stable and profitable component of the economy? How can we create demand for secondary raw materials and set the stage for new investments? Where can companies genuinely turn circularity into a profitable model? A debate on the economics of the circular economy, the recyclates market, and the conditions for developing modern recycling in Poland.
