Position: Sustainable Development Leader

Magdalena Betin took the position of Sustainability Business Partner in 2016. She is responsible for implementing projects in the field of sustainable consumption and environmental education among co-workers and consumers based on the promotion of environmentally friendly IKEA products and solutions.

She also coordinates cooperation with non-governmental organizations as part of IKEA's social campaigns. She was a project leader of "IKEA. Dla ciebie, dla domu, dla planety" which resulted in the campaign at www.IKEA.pl/dlaPlanety. She is also responsible for social impact campaigns: "Climate action starts at home" and "Let’s play for change".

She started working at IKEA in 2000 in the Service Office marketing department as an English translator and market research specialist. In 2005 she joined the sales team as a product communication coordinator. Next, as an Activity coordinator, she was responsible for launching the IKEA PS and Stockholm collections, coordinating commercial calendar processes, Soft Toys & Brighter Lives for Refugees social campaigns, and integrating sustainability in the sales department. She also held the temporary role of HFB18 Sales Leader and Commercial Action Leader. In 2015, she participated in a trip to Cambodia as an Ambassador of the IKEA Foundation iWitness program from Poland.
