Expert in sustainable urban development, building decarbonization and energy transition. Holds degrees from the Warsaw School of Economics and the London School of Economics and Political Science, including a PhD in economic policy and an MSc Executive in Cities. Justyna has an extensive experience from the private sector, central government and local administration, with past positions at the Office of the Committee for European Integration and the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland. From 2018 to 2022 she worked at Warsaw City Hall, responsible for phasing out coal-fired stoves, shaping climate policy and managing urban greenery, as well as introducing the Warsaw Green Fund, the Green Building Standard and an integrated greenery management system. Currently serves as Deputy Mayor of the Ochota district in Warsaw, overseeing architecture, greenery, and infrastructure. Author and co-author of numerous publications on local government finance, urban greenery management, and the green transition, and a member of the Program Council of the Civic Congress and the CitySense think tank.
