Co-founder of Urbanika Farms, a next-generation food producer and market leader in resource-efficient technology-based food production in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. Forbes described the company as a pioneer of Polish vertical farming. In building Urbanika, Michael leveraged his expertise in technology and business development to advocate concepts such as innovation, sustainability, social responsibility, and inclusion, all while transforming challenges of an emerging industry into opportunities. As co-founder, Michael brings to Urbanika Farms not only a passion for innovation, but also love of food and a great desire to change a world headed for environmental disaster.
After earning a degree in finance from DePaul University in Chicago, Michael worked 15 years in capital markets and financial services around the world: in the US, Western Europe and emerging markets.
