Agenda

UNGC Climate Council on the Polish energy transition

18 October 2022 • 17:15 -18:30 • conference room 24

Thematic scope

The Climate Council at the UNGC was established in October 2021. It consists of a group of experts representing various scientific and academic centres in Poland and different disciplines of knowledge. The exchange of views by those who make up the Council improves and elevates the climate education process to the highest expert level. This is particularly important in the context of the global crises of recent years and the alarmingly increasing violent natural phenomena increasingly affecting living conditions, politics and the economy. Determination to develop an awareness of the causes and effects of these processes is becoming urgently needed. The Climate Council prepares recommendations in areas related to climate change. The Council meeting at PRECOP 27 in Katowice will focus on Poland’s energy transition.
